The Wasatch County Council is the legislative body for Wasatch County. They are responsible for all ordinances, resolutions, budgets and the county code. The council consists of 7 members from 5 geographic regions and 2 at-large members.

The Wasatch County Council meets in three types of meetings:
Regular meetings typically are scheduled twice a month on the first and third Wednesdays. Work meetings are typically scheduled for the second week of the month. Special/Emergency meeting are scheduled as needed

The Council appoints the county manager who holds the executive authority for the county. The county budget runs calendar year so budget hearings are held typical held in December for the upcoming budget year.
